Biography:

Pujols received a full no-trade clause for 2004-2006 and a limited no-trade clause for remainder of deal. $12 million will be deferred ($3 million per-year from 2007-2010 at 0% interest to be paid in 10 installments of $1.2 million from 2020 to 2029). He receives a $200,000 bonus for winning an MVP, $100,000 for finishing second in MVP balloting, and $50,000 for being selected to an All-Star game and winning a gold glove.
A 13th round draft pick by the Cardinals in 1999, Pujols has arguably had the best start to a career of any player in Major League Baseball history. Most would agree that he is the best player in the game today.
It all started in spring training, 2001. After just one season in the minors, the 21-year-old earned a spot on the Cardinals Opening Day roster that season. Thanks to an injury to Bobby Bonilla prior to the season, Pujols opened the season starting in left field. The rest is history.
After three truly historic seasons in which Albert won the NL Rookie of the Year (2001), a batting title (2003), and various other awards, the Cardinals awarded Pujols with a seven-year, $100 million contract prior to the 2004 season. The deal is the largest in Cardinals history, locking him up through at least 2010, with an option for 2011.
2006 marked "El Hombre's" sixth straight season with a .300 batting average, 100 runs, 30 home runs and 100 runs batted in. On July 13, 2006, Pujols became the first player in Major League history to have 30 or more home runs in his first six seasons, and he is also the youngest player to hit 250 home runs in the Majors.
Pujols is a five-time All-Star (01, 03, 04, 05, 06), three-time winner of the Silver Slugger award (01, 03, 04), and winner of the 2005 MVP. He won his first Gold in 2006.

Dustin Luis Pedroia (born August 17, 1983, in Woodland, California) is an American professional baseball second baseman with the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball. Pedroia has won several awards in Major League Baseball, including the 2007 American League Rookie of the Year and the 2008 AL MVP award. He also won a Silver Slugger as a second baseman and a Gold Glove in 2008. He finished second overall in the AL in batting average in 2008.
Pedroia is listed by Major League Baseball and the Red Sox as 5' 9" (175 cm) and 180 pounds. In 2003 a USA Today article gave his height as 5' 7" (170 cm), and when he was in college the NCAA and Arizona State University gave his height as 5' 8".
On June 29, 2011, Pedroia started a 25 game hitting streak, the most for a Boston Red Sox second baseman. On August 16, 2011, Pedroia was involved in throwing a triple play, started by Jed Lowrie.
Pedroia is of Portuguese and Swiss (Maggia) heritage. Pedroia is the nephew of Detroit Lions linebacker coach Phil Snow.
On January 9, 2009, Pedroia was named as the cover athlete of the baseball video game MLB 09: The Show, and appeared in several commercials for the game.

Ichiro Suzuki , usually known simply as Ichiro (born October 22, 1973) is a Major League Baseball right fielder for the Seattle Mariners. Ichiro has established a number of batting records, including the sport's single-season record for hits with 262. He has had ten consecutive 200-hit seasons, the longest streak by any player, surpassing Wee Willie Keeler's streak of eight. Ichiro has never had fewer than 206 hits in any of his 10 full major-league seasons to date.
Ichiro moved to the United States in 2001 after playing nine years for the Orix Blue Wave in Japan's Pacific League. Posted by Orix after the 2000 season, Ichiro became Seattle's right fielder. The first Japanese-born everyday position player in the major leagues, Ichiro led the AL in batting average and stolen bases en route to being named Rookie of the Year and MVP.

Athlete, professional baseball player. Born Derek Sanderson Jeter on June 26, 1974, in Pequannok, New Jersey. From an early age, Jeter showed that he had all the makings of a baseball great. In his senior year at Kalamazoo Central High School, he won several national sports awards. He was named the 1992 High School Player of the Year by the American High School Coaches Association, the 1992 Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year, and USA Today's High School Player of the Year.
After graduation, Jeter was picked by the New York Yankees in June 1992 draft. He first played in the minor leagues, hitting .295 with five home runs in the 1993 season. And Jeter's performance on the field only improved the next year. In 1994, he was selected as Minor League Player of the Year by several publications, including The Sporting News and Baseball America.
In 1995, Jeter got his first shot at the major leagues when Yankees shortstop Tony Fernandez was put on the disabled list. Jeter made his debut on May 29 against the Seattle Mariners. The next year, in his first full season as a major league baseball player, he batted .314 with 10 home runs. The skilled shortstop also performed well in the infield-his fielding percentage was .969. He helped the Yankees win the World Series against the Atlanta Braves. Jeter won the 1996 American League Rookie of the Year Award for that season.
